| What was the purpose of the Courtyard? | To offer a lamb morning and evening on the Altar of Sacrifice. This was also the area where a person entered and offered their lamb for their sins. This was where the animal sacrifices took place. Confession of sin was made here. | |

| What happened in the Courtyard? | 2
things in particular: 1) The daily morning and evening sacrifices for the congregation took place here, and 2) This is where a person came with an offering, usually a lamb, killing it and taking some of the blood from it and giving it to the [common] priest who took the blood into the Holy Place where he offered it on the Altar of Incense. |

| When did these things take place? | For
the congregation daily, - twice a day, in the morning and
in the evening (afternoon). For the person bringing his lamb to be killed - anytime during the day except at the time when the congregation offering was taking place. |

The Holy Place |

| What was the purpose of the Holy Place? | In offering the blood of the slain [killed] lamb on the Altar of Incense, the person was forgiven his sin(s). This is where the forgiveness of sins took place. |

| What happened in the Holy Place? | The High Priest went into the Holy Place daily, taking the blood of the slain [killed] lamb, and offered it on the Altar of Incense for the people, or person for the forgiveness of the sin(s) of the people/person. |
| When did these things take place in the Holy Place? | For
the congregation daily, - twice a day, in the morning and
in the evening (afternoon). For the person bringing his lamb to be killed - anytime during the day except at the time when the congregation offering was taking place. |

The Most Holy Place |

| What was the purpose of the Most Holy Place? | To take the sins of the people off the record permanently that they had committed during the year. |
|

| What happened in the Most Holy Place? | The High Priest went into the Most Holy Place and waited on God to give His approval for the sins that had been forgiven by Him in the Holy Place to be permanently removed from the sanctuary. |
| When did these things take place in the Most Holy Place? | For the congregation YEARLY. |
